As the fire raged on the roof of the Paris landmark on Monday, Donald Trump tweeted: “Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!”

A fire took place in the Notre Dame Cathedral, the most important reflection of Gothic art in Paris. The tower was demolished and the roof was completely collapsed.

Approximately 500 firefighters intervened in the fire, after intensive work in the northern bell tower and the main building was rescued. Although the cause of the fire is unknown, firefighters, flames, “probably” 6 million euros may have emerged from the renovation work.

France’s billionaire Pinault family announced that it will donate 100m euros for the reconstruction.

In addition, the Heritage Foundation, which works on historical artifacts in France, said that a national aid campaign will be launched for the restoration of the cathedral.
