“Gucci did again!”
It is no longer surprising that we have become so used to hearing this sentence under the leadership of Alessandro Michele. The Gucci Spring / Summer 2019 collection, which opened the Milan Fashion Week, presents a high dose of gleam in deep, literary and darkness.
Gucci Fall-Winter 2019/2020
Gucci, which presented its Spring-Summer 2019 collection in Paris in September, gave the right to host together with Milan Fashion Week. Creative Director Alessandro Michele carried art not only to design but to every detail from podium to music. More than 120 thousand light illuminated models walking on the catwalk attracted attention with giant jewelry and masks. A masked balloon was created in the fashion show that reference to the Roman period, the models’ ear, eyes, or even half of the face of the gold-plated jewelry was recorded as the trend of the upcoming season’s alarm. Floral patterns, earth tones and red color make this brand a must for this season.
“Alyscamps is gothic, it has a rock-and-roll soul, it was somewhere to visit in the 1700s, where the kids hung out. It could be a place to hold a rave,” #AlessandroMichele. Looking at the #GucciCruise19 fashion show.
“When you watch the collection, you’ll understand better what I’m trying to do.”
Alessandro Michele’s design journey is like writing a novel: dreamer, free and storyteller.
